Delivered at SAE Institute campuses across the UK, the course introduces core game audio workflows. You’ll design original sound effects in Reaper, experiment with adaptive audio in FMOD, and bring everything together in Unreal Engine 5.

Across the five days, you’ll get a feel for how game audio designers actually work. Each session mixes short explanations with practical tasks, so you’re constantly making and testing ideas.

Entry Requirements

No formal experience in game sound is needed for this game audio design course, making it accessible for beginners and creatives alike. You should have basic computer knowledge and an interest in creating, playing and learning about sound and games. Familiarity with music software is helpful but not essential. All key programs will be introduced, with step-by-step guidance from tutors.
